Our Liberty is Revealed; "Come"

First, our funding for our short term mission trip to Costa Rica continues to grow.  Admittedly, slower than I'd hoped, but the timing's up to God.  Our job is to be available and ready.  The funding helps with each phase.  If you'd like to be part of all this, you can go to Send Bill to Costa Rica and donate.

The goal isn't really all that large for our exploratory trip.  Any and all help will be appreciated.  Our goal is to be like the Israelite spies, exploring the Promised Land.  Seeking to find out how we can best help "take the land" for God.  We know that God has blessed us and wants to bless the people of Costa Rica with His presence.  We want to be part of that.

Having said all that, nothing is better or more important for meditation than the Word of God.  And Todd Parsons shows us that, today.  We get to follow the verses that were the foundation of one of his recent meditations.  Let God take you where He'd have you go with these.

Luke 10:22 (KJV)  All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

Luke 10:27-30 (KJV)  And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.  But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?  And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

John 8:25-26 (KJV)  Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.  I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

John 8:28-29 (KJV)  Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.  And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

John 8:31-32 (KJV)  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:36 (KJV)  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Reading Luke 10 this morning, verse 22 sparked my pondering of these other verses. O to know the Son...and the Son shall make you, you, you free!
