Well, it's Saturday, when you never know what you'll find, here. In honor of that, we'll start with some news.  Two items:

First, Thursdays are back to being LifeNotes day.  Because it was too late this past Thursday to do an exclusive, this week's Thursday post is both here and on LifeNotes.  If you don't follow @kraski or @kraski777 on Twitter or circle me on Google+,  just follow the link to the left to the list of my LifeNote posts, which will always be up to date after 9am EST/EDT on Thursday.

Second, for those of you who prefer your devotionals in hardcopy form, we've been editing and revising our Breastplate Gems series of monthly devotionals, so we can put them together in a full year hardcopy.  We're not sure, yet, whether it will be completed by Summer or in time for Christmas.  Stay tuned.

In the meantime,  Todd Parsons is back.  Let's see what he has for us, today:

Prov 19:27  Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causes to err from the words of knowledge.

Something I am currently learning and I find here in Pr.19:27, that there is instruction communicated to me, subliminally, even as a follower of Jesus Christ, that is intended to turn me aside from the paths of the LORD. Are they not the intentions of an enemy to do so? I find as I relax my attention to the LORD that other matters seem to draw me away. Like an appetite would draw me to the need to satisfy it. Eating is necessary, but there are many other appetites that arise making demands on me. Are they all necessary like eating? We may think so. However, the LORD has said unto us that listen, "man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God", Mat.4:4. Proverbs 9:10 says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding". There is that which is beyond the necessary that is from the LORD for you and I...

Prov 19:20-21  Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end. There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Prov 19:23  The fear of the LORD tends to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

1 Tim 4:8  For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Ps 56:12-13  Your vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto You.  For You have delivered my soul from death: will You not deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before (You, O) God in the light of the living?

His vows: His promises that can not be altered...I will give my worship to You O God...

Jude 1:24-25  Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,  To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Of So Great Love, we are, tjp
