A Way of Rejoicing!

Our Wednesdays detoured into the tech stuff for several weeks in a row.  All good information, some important to share.  But we don't want to abandon all the spiritual gems from sources other than my own walk with God.  As much as I recognize the blessings of of the insights God has given me, I also am very aware of all the spiritual talent God has surrounded me with, both online and in my daily life.

One of those sources of spiritual goodness, of course, is my friend, Todd Parsons.  And I feel like we're overdue to be mutually blessed by one of his devotionals.

Today there is the way of my own eyes that i can follow and there is the way of Him that has made me. The LORD offers us His counsel of the way that we should go. O my soul, hear Him...

Prov 12:28   In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

Prov 12:1  Whoso loves instruction loves knowledge: but he that hates reproof is brutish.

Prov 12:3  A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

Prov 12:4  A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that makes ashamed is as rottenness in his bones

All of man has a destination. We will all stand before the LORD and give account as to "the way". His "way" will stand and my own will not. His counsel I therefore gladly receive. There are those who all their life only believed in their own way. There are those who trust and believe in the LORD's way, but receive not the counsel of His way and are left to walk in their own way, making the Cross of none effect in their life time. Then, there are those that believe the LORD's way and receive his counsel, even when they fail, they find they are upheld in His hands and not their own... For the believer in the LORD's way, in all ages, He is as the virtuous woman of Pr. 12:4, a crown unto her Husband, the One she believed and married His thoughts...

Ps 119:137  Righteous are You, O Lord, and upright are Your judgments.

Ps 119:140  Your word is very pure: therefore Your servant loves it.

Ps 119:144  The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

Of So Great Love, we are, tjp
