Seek the LORD, He's Not "Off Duty", Now

It's Wednesday and time for a guest post.  Here's another insight from Todd Parsons.  Along with that, it's the last day of April.  We're busily finishing up our new Kindle devotional for May.  That should be available, later today.  It's titled "Garnet's Fire", subtitled "Aflame for God".  At the latest, it should be out by tomorrow afternoon.  In the meantime, enjoy Todd's foray into the reality of God's nature and love.

With the merciful You wilt show Yourself merciful; with an upright man You wilt show Yourself upright; With the pure You wilt show Yourself pure; and with the froward You wilt show Yourself froward, Ps 18:25-26.

It's funny how the Creator of all things would limit His revelation to me today, based on my volitional choice to know Him here in time.  He isn't demanding we see Him as in charge or the Boss, but He is.  He shows Himself as a friend so gentle and kind.  I can walk this whole lifetime as if I'm "off duty" with Him, while He is never "off duty".  And if He were for a moment, we would in one way or another not be... Even so, if I seek Him, He promises I shall find.  I have found that to be so.

He is Faithful....  Concerning my duty today, "Do I believe in me or do I believe Him?".  Am I revealing me or does my life reveal Him?  He is gentle and the same toward me ether way. However, the effect of my choice will I bear in me, i.e., I can have peace, quietness and assurance of Him walking with me.  The only reason I have not been knowing the length, breath, height, and depth of Who He is, (1 John 4:8), is the direction of my volitional choice today, to me or to the LORD...

What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me?  I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord, Ps 116:12-13.

Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near, Isa 55:6.

He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me, Ps 18:19.

Of So Great Love, we are, tjp
