Heart Departure Makes Us Miserable‏

We'll start with an update.  Our March 14 day devotional, "The Clarity of Beryl" is now available for the Kindle, on Amazon -- http://amzn.to/1efmBRF

With that mentioned, it's time for another great spiritual insight from Todd Parsons.

Great peace have they which love Your law: and nothing shall offend them, Ps 119:165.

Can you imagine with me a life that does not get uprooted in the face of any situation, circumstance, or relationship that may afflict me?  How exciting is that?!?  A drought could come and I am fine!  In my heart, I may not even be conscious of it!  It could be in circumstance, situation or in a relationship.  I am not preserving myself, but I spend myself and keep on plowing in the field and sowing seed as if I am oblivious to the drought.

I say, that would be the expression of a heart that is ruled by peace, Col. 3:15;  Phil. 4:7: The eyes of this man, i.e., the love of this man is the LORD.

Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind,' Matt 22:37.

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You, Isa 26:3.
Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength, Isa 26:4.

'Is He not the Prince of Peace?', Is. 9:6.  He is our peace, Eph. 2:14.

Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit, Jer 17:7-8.

Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the Lord.  For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good comes; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited,  Jer 17:5-6.

For a just man falls seven times, and rises up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief, Prov 24:16.
