Made Partakers of His Inheritance‏

Todd Parsons joins us with another devotional, based on Colossians 1.  Let's see where God takes us through the insights He's given Todd, this time.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:  In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:  And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist, Col 1:12-17.

Today, we have an eternal kingdom that we have been placed into, the kingdom of the Father's dear Son. Until the day of our salvation, we had been trained by the OSN, (old sin nature), to operate in the kingdom of darkness and that is our first nature of operation.  We "have been" translated into the kingdom of God, but not necessarily operationally.  We are not necessarily cognitive of this eternal kingdom to take its advantage or authority in our daily lives.

Our souls cleave to the dust, we need our hearts, our minds and our conversation to be refreshed, revived to the Lord's view point. We can hide the truth in our hearts that we might not self against Him, Ps.119:11.

He desires truth on the inward parts that He can make us to know wisdom, i.e., (how to apply what He knows for that moment), Ps.51:6.

That our way would be cleansed, He gives us His word that we would take heed to, Ps.119:9.

By ourselves "we do not know what we are doing", is the confession of the Lord to His Father, as we crucified Him.
