Staying In The Pot

Todd Parsons is our guest poster, today.  This one goes back a bit.  But it fits where we are in John 15.  When we're undergoing trials, God has a reason for it.  And we come out better than when we went into them.  Take a look at Todd's meditation on it.

The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD tries the hearts, Pr.17:3.

Raw silver, gold, and sinners in the pot as rough as they are, allow much air in between. The Lord tries the hearts. Until the heat is applied the air remains. However, when the heat is applied the content of the pot is transformed into one and the air is given no place, if the raw material remains in the pot... Also if a raw piece of material is added to the melted portion, the present content seems to welcome as it envelops the new piece or even a piece that returns to the pot... Stay in the pot, the fourth man is there. It is He that tries the hearts and makes them one...
