Who’s My Master?

Pastor Allan Leitner is a great friend and, like Abraham, a friend of God.  Whenever I get to spend time with Him, I go away knowing I’ve gained something to enhance my relationship with God.  We’ll be sharing some of Pastor Allan’s writings, from time to time.  Read on and see what God gives you from his insights.

"What a battle he had in us before we would be won! How long he laid siege to our hearts! How often he sent us terms of capitulation! but we barred our gates, and fenced our walls against him. Do we not remember that glorious hour when he carried our hearts by storm? When he placed his cross against the wall, and scaled our ramparts, planting on our strongholds the blood-red flag of his omnipotent mercy? Yes, we are, indeed, the conquered captives of his omnipotent love. Thus chosen, purchased, and subdued, the rights of our divine possessor are inalienable: we rejoice that we never can be our own" Charles Spurgeon

"I love my Master I will not go free." I don't know the name of the song but that was the theme of one sung last night at Church. It breaks me to think about it... to feel that way myself.

In a country where we are free to buy land and make our own way it can be foreign concept. The spiritual world is no free enterprise system as some would lead us to believe. Who you serve... and you will (do) serve someone... means everything.

I love my master. He has won me in conquest and when He did I didn't know Him. Now that I do, I want to serve no other.
