If It Had Not Been the Lord

Some Psalm 124 thoughts from Todd Parsons:

If it had not been the LORD who was on our side...
Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
Then the waters had overwhelmed us...

Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as prey to their teeth.
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth, Ps.124
.
In the garden, when Adam and Eve fell, when they lost the dominion that was given to them of the LORD; were they not now under the dominion of Satan and the kingdom of darkness?  Would you not think that Satan's next tactic could be to devour them, (1Peter.5:8b)?  If he had done so, would we be today?...

The snare is broken, and we are escaped!!! Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth... The LORD's dominion stands sure even from before the foundations of the world unto this day and forever more, Heb.13:8... Oh, the name of the LORD, my strong tower, where i am safe...

Of Great Love, we are, tjp
