Waiting Upon the Lord

Here's a guest devotional by Todd Parsons:

"Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and He shall save you", Pr.20:22. "Because you have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, your habitation... Because you have set your love upon Me, says the LORD, therefore will I deliver you: I will set you on high, because you have known My name. You shall call upon Me, and I will answer you: I will be with you in trouble; I will deliver you, and honour you. With long life will I satisfy you, and show you My salvation", Ps.91:9,14-16...

Where I choose to place my concentration matters as to whom I do trust... To wait upon the LORD, I choose to concentrate on who He is and what He has done, amidst the details, circumstances, and situations that try to question the LORD's character and work. Like a detergent that is diluted from its concentration, it is of little worth to cleanse the soiled clothes. I also must receive the content in concentration of who the LORD is and what He has done to grow faith in an evil world. Concentration/Preeminence is given somewhere, by me. To whom is my choice...

Pr.3:5-7; Mat.6:25,33...

Of Great Love, tjp
