Abide in No Greater Love‏

Here's another guest mini-post from Todd Parsons:

I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing...Jn.15:5.

This past Saturday I had the priviledge of knocking on doors in Springfield, Ma. with Pr. Don Benoit and Allen Columbe. This illustration came to mind as we spoke to those who opened their doors. Having plants in the house there is something we do repeatedly for them and that is we water them. If not they wither up. I likened it to our faith, belief, and trust.

What we believe about the Lord Jesus Christ must be watered daily that it may grow and not wither. We want it to grow and become the biggest thing in our lives that it will be the stability of our souls in any test or trial. When we are watered and nourished in who He is, what He thinks of us and that He will never leave us; this settles us in adverse situations to where what we are growing in us is our focus and attention. We find our joy remains and is full. We find "No Greater Love", Jn.15:11,13, to be our confidence...

Of Great Love, tjp
